Raiganj Surendranath Mahavidyalaya was established in 1986 with the intention of meeting the educational needs of rural and suburban youth in the surrounding area. The land of the College was donated by Mr. Shailendra Narayan Sen in loving memory of his father Surendranath Sen and hence the College was named
